The game started breaking down (choppy framerate, slowdown with numerous enemies etc) after about 9 hours. I'll see how the game performs today and let people know how it goes.ĮDIT: Put in a big day to check it out (have to get to level 70+ for DLC ). But clearly this may be a fix (even if it is temporary) that I can share with people.Įspecially with the DLC possibly requiring you to get to anywhere from Level 70-81 to face a legendary dragon, it may be of some help to people out there. Unlike Fallout 3 when the title text disappeared, there is no way to know that the technique worked until you start it up and actually play the game. To my surprise the game ran really well for 4 or 5 hours when I restarted until I finished for the day. To do so press and hold until the autosave notification pops up (after it works as well): Then do the following when starting up the game. When you are experiencing the lag/framerate problem: I recalled that there was a technique that was used in Fallout 3 that you can use to clear the cache (credit to terminator for that fallout 3 find/thread) that can give some respite. It seriously took me more than an hour to ride across the map due to the appalling framerate. I'm not sure if this has already been said or posted but I have really experienced dreadful framerate and lag on a 14Mb save and it was getting progressively worse the bigger the save file.
